I can’t say this counts as “healthy” since the majority of this treat is sugar, but this *is* a delicious, melt-in-you-mouth treat made from fresh milled flour! My husband does not like chocolate (white chocolate is is exempt from this!), so these are his most favorite treat I have made to-date.

Ingredients

  • 50 g soft white (or spelt)
  • 30 g hard white (or hard red)
  • 115 g butter (1 sticks)
  • 45 g brown sugar
  • 1 eggs
  • 1/2 T vanilla
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/8 t salt
  • White chocolate chips, to taste

Instructions

  1. Line pan with parchment (this recipe is for an 8×8 size pan)
  2. Melt the butter until foamy (can brown a bit past this for extra flavor)
  3. pour into the brown sugar, set aside to cool
  4. Add egg, vanilla, and a dash of salt (optional)
  5. Add flour and baking powder, let rest for a few min to soften the bran
  6. Add chocolate chips and then spread into the pan
  7. Bake at 350* 20-30 min (will be slightly underbaked or just barely done to get them set but gooey)
